Autumn Leaves
I made
a pact
with my heart
that I will
share
precious moments
with autumn leaves
golden hues
brown tint
coppertone
while I sit
in Sandalwood Park
and watch them
silently fall
to the ground
I lay
my feet on
assuring each one
its goodness
is yet to come.
