Australia Trip Pt1 - 2005 Poem by Alison Gaff

A wonderful adventure we had planned
To go and visit a far off land
So off to Ozzy we did travel
At its wonders we will marvel

Perths young city is clean and bright
With 'The Pinnacles' set in deserts of white
Kings Park with all its birds an flowers
Freemantle, Burswood and Swan Bell Tower

Then on to Sydney, arriving in style
But not much time to rest a while
A harbour cruise and heli flight
Saw Bridge and Opera House by day and night

Walked on Bondi Beach and Manly too
Day in the mountains was wet not blue
Olympic stadium and QVB
Then its pie 'n mash for you and me

The Indian Pacific train stands ready
To take us to Adelaide, nice and steady
We travelled by day and into the night
Watching the scenery and changing light

Stayed in Adelaide just one day
Then off on the Ghan Train and away
Heading north to Alice Springs
Saw Wedge Tailed eagles on the wing
