The Jay Poem by Alison Gaff

The Jay

Rating: 5.0

Another of my favourites
Has to be the jay
Its call is very hard and harsh
But to hear it makes my day

I often only catch a glimpse
A flash of blue within the trees
But if you're quiet and patient
You may see one of these

He is a fairly robust bird
But rarely in a crowd
His broad wings help him glide along
When landed he sits loud and proud
