At The Zoo Poem by Randy McClave

At The Zoo

I said a prayer for you
When you fell into the lion enclosure at the zoo,
And when you tried your best to get away
On my knees to God, I then did pray.

The lion then hungering saw you as it's dinner
And of course, a lion is not a sinner,
You were scared and still so very afraid
So, on your knees to God you then prayed.

God answers all prayers which is true
Especially when we all three were at the zoo,
The lion saw you as lunch for the slaying
Then for thanks to God, the llion began praying.
