At The Tee Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

At The Tee

At the Tee

Unlike the other day
-at red-light of the "Tee"
-'thought of death'
-'truck and accident'
-today at same place
-I noticed drivers

Drivers heading east
-'turning right'
-'on my left…'
-'I head north'

Regardless of their size
-and gender, car model
-colour and background
-turn their heads with the necks
-take shape of resting goose
-with its head sitting on right shoulder

This is what we did too
-in early lessons of our flight
-students…

The first thing teachers did
-was changing this habit:
-"Remember plane is all one piece
-and it turns in its whole
-to left, right
-you are part
-no need of turning head…"

I see us, trainees
-repeated right here

Watching this great show! ! !
-is comic and I laugh…
-at them and my own past!
