At The Grand Central Subway Station Poem by Lisa Rhodes

At The Grand Central Subway Station

A train made from a rainbow
Of mosaic tiles, stood
Out from across the train tracks
From a rusty gold glimmer-
Less shadow. All in a while
It shone, personifying
A child’s telling grin as
He was being led gently
By the hand across the platform
By his heavyset mother,
Dazzling her personality
Like a graceful Ringling Brother’s
Circus clown going to town.
