At The Crystal Cathedral Poem by Justin Gildow

At The Crystal Cathedral

Rating: 5.0

Christina, I know you're crying
Don't lie to me, you can't hide it

At the Crystal Cathedral
Many in robes and hoods have gathered
Closing their eyes, being silent, praying
Being alone
Alone with their own thoughts

This place has seen better times
Better days
Even I know as much

The way it is
At the Crystal Cathedral
Money ain't flowing
Hope ain't growing
Your tears won't buy me Christina
No matter or how hard you try to cry

I suppose I'm like the dark ones here
I have my own demons to vanquish
They're quite a few
Even many
I have my own romanticism to keep under
control
It doesn't want to go away
When I want it to

I wonder if the spirits of Danasty and
Belnades will watch over me
I've worshipped them for so long
Too many years now
It feels so long now
After all these years
Yet, I'd think they'd know
The many here at the Crystal Cathedral
They wouldn't know

The Crystal Cathedral has seen better days
Better times
That's for sure

Christina, I know you're crying
Don't lie to me, you can't hide it
