There's a relationship with the marvels of nature
That we may develop if we have faith,
If we appreciate the offerings of each day,
And refrain from the activities that lead to waste.
It may be unusual in this modern era
To idly watch the swaying trees in the breeze,
And reminisce about the glory days of yesteryear
With all the memories that one's mind can seize.
But, I wish I could be a young boy again so I can still
Get a real thrill from mother nature's heart
That connects me with the memorable thoughts of youth,
And inadvertently causes tears to start.
My life is brief, and at heart I'm still a boy,
Though as I older grow, my thoughts are young
Crediting the Almighty for this gift to my journey's end
Where the flickering light of death is hung.
