Assuming Truth Has Died Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Assuming Truth Has Died

Truth to face is painful.
When squeezed from crevices,
Where denials tried...
To keep it buried to hide.
Assuming truth has died.
Will allow more lies in minds to reside.
Done to continue living wicked lives.

Yet truth can not be smothered away.
To stay forever deceived.
With distorted beliefs.
Eventually truth does reach the surface.
Leaving it exposed shown and known,
Who has been the doers of evil misdeeds.
Surprising even those who follow faithfully!
