Asleep While Living Poem by CAROL HUGHES

Asleep While Living

Rating: 5.0

I'm in a room filled
With raw, cloying desire
What do I see?
Walls of green
Adding to the envy
Of greedy icy eyes
Taking in the scene
Poor unfilled spirits
Removed they are
Nature and self frozen
Unable to emit a glow
Send a message from afar
One longingly subtle
Flitting across space
A silent heated signal
Feathering the air
Tenderly landing
Gently caressing the face
The welcoming lips and cheeks
Of one they sense
Will flutter their hearts
Who will erase the doubt
Lift them from their seats
Openly share tender embraces
Let untapped pits of fire
So long hidden
Come to life and erupt
Finally joining with nature
Becoming true to themselves

So long hidden Come to life and erupt Finally joining with nature Becoming true to themselves.............utterly persuasive longing for a life touching the own song, excellent flow feeling by desire of luscious glow lucked in nature, ingeniously curved over the beauty intoned,10+++, thanks for sharing
