As We Think, We Are Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

As We Think, We Are

Our thoughts yesterday
Gave birth to our lives today,
Thoughts today will soon bring
Our tomorrow's dawning.

What fills our finite minds
Shape more than what we find
Thoughts to words materialize
As we think, we are - more than we realize.

But remember sister, not all thoughts are fruitful. The spirit is strong and the flesh is weak. And most if not all of us are filled with spirit, either holy or unholy spirits (i.e. spirit and truth) . (and in my opinion, more like a little of both in everybody) . Spirits can flash through your mind unholy thoughts, but the righteous dismiss them... the wicked revel in and act upon them.

Nice philosophical poem. Favorite lines: “Thoughts today will soon bring our tomorrow’s dawning.”
