Are You Saying Good-Bye? Poem by O Sudhir Janardhanan

Are You Saying Good-Bye?

Rating: 2.9

There’s being a lot said
Nothing has been left unsaid
We have used words
Sharper than swords
Shredded our souls to the core
To points in agony score

It’s being sometime now
That we have talked love
It’s being sometime now
We made up with a kiss, our row

Every moment we seek to incite
A word of duels that excite
Raise hands with the voice
In the hurt, we sought to rejoice

I see your bags all packed today
Your teeth bite quivering lips to stay
Palms wipe the tears before they spring
Fingers lace hands squeeze and wring

In the twilight of this day’s quotient
It dawns on me slowly, a question
Are you going away, far away from me
Without saying, are you saying good-bye to me

I love you to not want you to go away
I love you to not want you to stay this way
Where agonies rule our every day
When hurt closes love from finding its way
I have to kiss you, and ask before you go
Are you saying good-bye, and forever go...
