Appealing Genocide Poem by Izik Alcox

Appealing Genocide

Rating: 5.0

The mass murder of this pagan tradition
A yearly genocide and demolition
Leaving stumps behind and new homes to find

Symbolized by the sacrificed ever green
Symbolizing greed yet appears oh so clean
Emaciated branches, roots asphyxiated
Decorated for show, no longer able to grow

Anesthetizing the sense of family love
Placing it's importance on the date above
While sugar coated and constantly promoted
Polytheism in disguise innovated by Christian lies
Such waste is produced during this time of year
The materialism is all too clear

So they plant more trees
A market of death they seize
They rape our mother's land
For this overwhelming demand

The rows of dead and dying
Awaiting the ignorant buying
Deaf to the painful crying
As they are supplying

The symbol for the lie
I lay here and cry
Why must so many die
Having to say goodbye
To their home and life
Falling victim to the knife
Dressed up for the day
Then thrown away

truth really hurts and so does your poem... it further leads me to think that how hypocritic and superficial the people are and their superflous beliefs... thought provoking poem.. well done!

Wow.. what you wrote really makes people think. People forget the real reason for Christmas. And they are too materialistic. i really like this poem, and i think it now belongs in one of my favorites. Thanks for pointing out something so true, yet so over looked. -frowns- Poor trees.

Izik? This is most haunting. This is most...disturbing, and yet a perspective dressed for a reality 'awakened'. Written wonderfully. Where and when will such aggression on humanity ends? Those conscious must have this addressed. Now.
