Anti-Hero

We saw one word
and the more we had to admire,
the achievements on the track,
the humour, the looks, the demeanour,
the less we saw two other words,
always lurking,
murderer and liar.

Don't know to whom or what this specifically refers, but I am able to attest to the truth of your message. Positive traits constantly and skillfully highlighted, can obscure an uglier truth.

Terrific, power per cubic centimetre, sardonic.
