Another Reminder Of Life's Temporary Status Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Another Reminder Of Life's Temporary Status

Adding another reminder to life, having been caused by the
coronavirus, not having it, but the effects of stores run-
ning out of distilled water, needed for a CPAP machine.

No sleep for three days, causing a lapse of memory when
taking morning medications, instead of taking just five
tablets of a medicine, mistakenly taking five of another.

About fifteen minutes later feeling very weak, walking a-
cross the hall, afraid of fainting, getting sick or falling,
then realizing suddenly what had happened.

Calling a nurse, telling her what happened, giving her the
bottle of pills this poet had mistakenly taken too many of,
she ran down the hallway to the doctor.

Next thing, an ambulance was there to transport this mere
poet to the hospital close by, then being in the emergency
room for hours until a room was ready.

Transferred much later in the evening to a room upstairs,
settled into bed, I.V. flowing, heart monitor on, hooked
up to tubes, wires, etc.

An intense and disturbing ordeal to say the least, but
hoping to be released sometime the next day, luckily this
doctor, was this poet's once again Hero, who saved the day.

Life is temporary and all possessions are also very temporary. We have to keep mind in God only. He is out eternal father. This poem is very interestingly penned.
