Another Poem - Poem by Thomas Bates

another poem - another recent event
born from solitude, taking its time and
taking shape
in this attempt of mine
to make sense
of all that's left - somehow
naked, without use for
whatever's broken down yet
still, in nests of old clay and alabaster
taken by those
strangers, indeed,
of anything pushing up against
of envious pretention,
and talks.
