And Then She Closed Her Eye..
She wanted to be back home
To the warmth of her bed so nice
Thinking of it was so comforting
And so, she closed her eyes
She held the hands of her loved ones
Family, friends and the likes
Waiting to get back with them
And so, she closed her eyes
Ups and downs she'd seen it all
Spreading joy for all our lives
More love and care was all she'd need
But then she closed her eyes!
Poignant piece. Very much expressive. More often we leave before we could get back what we deserve
