And The Sun Remains Poem by Karthika Mukundh

And The Sun Remains

Rating: 5.0

The squirrel was nibbling the sun
The tree was watching.

This is a poem I wrote in 'Tamil', my mother tongue. The word 'sun' in this poem means 'the sun light and the heat produced by sun in the day time'. I found it's the unique word in my mother tongue and we don't know how to translate that exactly with its feel. Let me know if it is correct.

Title: மிச்சமிருக்கிறது சூரியன்

அணில் கொறித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது
வெயிலை
மரம் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது.

Translated by my husband Mukundh Nagarajan.

A sublime start with a nice poem, Karthika. You may like to read my poem, Love And Lust. Thank you.

Thank you Heather. Actually the first two lines are the poem. My husband translated it for me. The poem is smaller than the explanation, I think. :) The word '??????' was difficult to translate with it's original feel. That's what I mentioned.

Tamil is a beautiful writing. Even though I can not read it I love to look at it. Someone will translate for you.
