And The Dog Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

And The Dog

And the dog

One showed me a poster
Of meeting, and lecture
I knew lecturer…

Therefore, had to go there!

Talk was of addiction
Media's, Internet…

Young woman, a mother,
Was silent to the end
Till time came for question.

With my kids long grown
Joyfully: "Not for me anymore."

"I have a problem, "
Said woman to doctor:
"Soon will be son's birthday,
Want to buy present…
Can you give me advice?
Should I buy a tablet…? "

The boy is turning six
Insists, wants electronic…
(Mother was bewildered!)

Talk went on, on and on
The Pros and the Cons!

Life has changed, is ugly
Parenthood, training…

"It's my life, I decide…"
Is in mouth of each child.

Some couples prefer
To test the childlessness
Instead adopt dog
That obeys, not decide
To "Do this, " is no "Not! "
