And I Work Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

And I Work

And I work

Stubborn, as always
-work hard hands,
-do not show complaints
-till go numb the fingers
-and color of the nails
-change, become violet
- (a window to weakness.)

Face smiles with wrinkles
-that see the audience
-from the nippiness.

Eyeballs burn in the head
-on eyelash icicles.

The steam can't get out
-turns cloud, blinds sight.

And I work…
And I work…
And I work…

Go to hell rich, wealthy
Go to hell the bandits.

Go to hell
The Imposed
The exposed
The devil Lucifer
The joker in power.

I live with my pride
-as do the Huari and the swan.

I will die all alone in corner
-with hunger, no shelter.

But never; not ever
-seek your help
-will not ask
-neither bow.
