And I Opened My Eyes Poem by Linda I. Weischedel

And I Opened My Eyes

Rating: 5.0

You may not think you're handsome
but I do,
you're thoughts and emotions are refreshingly new,
you're words I find to be honest, sincere,
yet some find them to be unbelievably true,
when a love destroyed my heart
taking my brightened skies
making them a dreary depressing blue,
my heart and soul gave up,
folded thinking it was all thru,
I made that effort to look one last time,
I opened up my eyes,
and there stood the beauty all within you.
