An owl- night hunter

Owls
howl at night
not much to the delight
but to create slight fear

owl's eye brighten
with sudden appearance of rat
the hunger compels to eat
the eyes are sharply set

the leaves fall
with silent call
no noise and no sound
only to obey fatal round

lives are at danger
night makes it deadlier
after all it is cycle
sacrifice makes it with full circle

life may soon appear
not here but somewhere
new leaves shall emerge
for enjoying the fresh air and age
