An Otherworldly Petition Poem by Bryan Taplits

An Otherworldly Petition

The trip at the start says that we're apart,
'One' no longer is 'We',
-I shout-as I pout and then whirl about-
My brother lies here: I remember him-
And I hope he remembers me.
The graveyard revolves and then points all their eyes
Towards heaven's fantasies,
My brother once strong--
to me could never be wrong-
I remember him,
I trust that he remembers me.
Death is not just a word, but a ride with a never ending tail
Leading to dimensions concealed,
I grope to retrieve Michael's newly appointed reprieve,
As I remember him; so I pray he remembers me.
As Heaven resounds with all its heavenly sounds
I feel so alone, no longer as carefree,
I slip as he twists, hales me with open fist
I'll remember him;
I Hope he remembers me.
