An Introvert Affair Poem by Davy Lungu

An Introvert Affair

In silence i walk next to the girl of my dreams
in the space between us awkward just screams
am more than present
what a conundrum do i say hi to her resent
or wow to her beauty as am left in awe
its a short space of time but eternity could fit in it all
she could either hate or adore me
she stands on ceremony she is a friend to my foe
she loves colors am blind to her green light
she could still brighten this sad sight
push this thoughtful introvert but he wont contemplate over the height
its into love that i fall hoping to land on your heart
look past the shyness and let our souls play their part
