An Idle Mind Poem by Richard Ikolo

An Idle Mind

An idle mind is the devil's workshop
Devising viciousness at the worktop

Breeding ground for lust
To them who are lost

Eats the bread of laziness
Drinks the wine of idleness

Given to depraved tete- a- tete
At the old serpent's beautiful gate

Busybody in other men's matters
Like a mad monkey, he chatters

Easy tool in the hand of the ritualist
Main messenger of the cruel cultist

Don't wait to reap the repercussion!
Idle mind, 'Shun iniquity and indecision! '

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a didactic poem. It is needless to say that an idle mind is the devil's workshop (Romans 6: 16) .Let's not yield the members of our body as instruments of unrighteousness and evil, but unto God as vessels unto honour. Let not sin and evil imagination and wickedness over you. Remember the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
