On Your Birthday Poem by Richard Ikolo

On Your Birthday

Rating: 5.0

He made today possible
Glory to God, the invisible
For without Him you're nothing
To the Almighty, you owe everything

Beyond the sky your limit
Across the sea so your estate
From glory to glory your portion
In health and wealth your possession

To wellwishers, you 're welcome
As you made out time to come
So 'll others join you to celebrate
With long life you 'll taste

Not a day of drinking to stupor
Not a day of revelling and rancour
A day of sober reflection
A day of critical evaluation

As you rejoice today
Remember always to pray
To keep you from untimely death
For in Him, lies your breath.
