An Empty Seat Poem by R. Ariffin

An Empty Seat

Rating: 5.0

A cold bed, lonely nights
Rain and of other depressing weather
Takeaway food and meaningless channels
A painful silent moment all together

Pointless conversations with friends and strangers
Wandering at the stars above
A slow walk to your favorite park
Doing all the things you love

Hoping and endlessly checking the phone
While sitting next to an empty seat
At lunch, at the movies, on the garden bench
Missing you with every heartbeat

This is so heartbreakingly erfect. If only I could cry; it would be the best finish of all..(smile)
