I promise to take care of you
With my life I will protect you
With these hands I will take good care of you
I promise you will never suffer

I am aware this is not easy
Your parents will be shocked
After all they would understand and be happy
I know even mine will be surprised

As I see your tears fall
At this doctors room
As we thought it was just flue
At this juncture I promise I will never leave you

I know experience has shown boys leave
Fearing to be part of this journey
I know you are scared
Fearing I might do just like other man

I promise I will hold you with warm hands
Both you and my angel will never be alone
I will be there when you inform your parents
I will hold your hand

If they fight me
I beg you to stand with me I promise I will stand with you
If they raise their voice
I know it will hurt but I am with you in this new journey

I will take good care of you and my angel
You will never suffer in my hands
