Always Close Poem by Donal Mahoney

Always Close

They were always close
Mom and Faye
No father around

Mom painted flowers
Faye planted them
They made a life

Years flew by
Mom needed a wheelchair
Faye pushed

Then Mom died
Faye's in the wheelchair now
No one to push
