Alone On This Earth Poem by Emma Alberts

Alone On This Earth

Rating: 5.0

I search high and low
Around, left, right
I run in cirlces
My chances, very slight

I climb the Himalayas
Look around from there
I find nothing but snow
In the distance, I stare

I get on a boat
Search Japan out of its mind
I also try sushi
It's not my kind

I fly to Africa
Run the dry land
Off the beaten path
I fall, I cannot stand

I search the islands
Blocking my home
I search every house
Every dome

I sail back home
To see what it brings me
I sit alone at my desk
I find no one, as you can see

What a great poem. Keep writing for i can behold in your heart that you have a soul of a poet and a heart of a dreamer that can go beyond and beyond searching to touch a soul like me, to inspire and have hope in life. thanks for sharing and best wishes, melvin banggollay Philippines
