Alone In The Dark Poem by Jorge Arturo Valles Anguiano

Alone In The Dark

Rating: 5.0

The only light is above me,
I'm surrounded by the darkness,
the darkness that has followed me,
always trying to get me,
like a hungry animal,
I'm his prey,
I feel his eyes everywhere,
I feel his spirit,
darker than what he looks like,
scarier than seeing him,
always waiting when the light will
turn off
waiting for the switch to go off,
waiting for me to loose to conscience,
attracting me with the curiosity I feel
of what I will found between the darkness,
attracting me with his lots of voices,
attracting me with his different forms,
always searching a way to eat my soul,
my hunter has been always intelligent,
putting his traps everywhere until I get surrounded by his traps,
and I've been alone for days, weeks,
years...,
but I don't know because I don't feel the time,
and all I can say is...
I don't want to be alone in the dark

Darkness- it may be ignorance of reality or evil forces arraigned against the man- tries to have a hold on every thing around or our very existence. But, one must have faith in the light above. Thanks. always trying to get me / like a hungry animal / I'm his prey, I feel his eyes everywhere /....always searching a way to eat my soul,

A bright image in prevailing darkness of ignorance. Thanks
