Alone In My Own Home. Poem by CatherineLouise Taylor

Alone In My Own Home.

Im sitting here,
My mum over there.
We never seem to talk anymore,
She never seems to care.

Im on the computer,
She's watching 'Friends'.
I laugh along with her,
But she doesnt look back, and smile.

I write to my friends,
They write back.
We talk and joke,
But its not the same.

I live here, I think its home,
Doesnt feel like it is.
No-one cares,
Or even loves me.

Its called home,
Its more like a house.
I live here, But not fully,
Its like a shelter,

Of Lonliness and Independence.
