Alone But Not Lonely Poem by Soumita Sarkar

Alone But Not Lonely

Rating: 5.0

In all my defeat you alone stood beside
My world of blunder seek in you a guide
When everyone headed for their own way
You opened a new window of ally each day
My belief in self was lost till scanty
You returned my name and my identity
Against your taste you used to hear
The chapters aloud from my fond Lear
It was easy to melt in you with all your flaws
My being filled with flinch that you made gloss
Your sheer absence is what I never fear
The very air around has grown so dear
It narrates the tales of our togetherness
This spread and spring to erase darkness
Our bond raptures in all seven colours of rainbow
You were a blessing in guise of a human I know
In your light I've learned the lessons of life
Proudly I spread this message as a martyr’s wife
