You cried, I wiped away all your tears
Wrapped my arms around you
Laid your head upon my shoulders
And wept with you

You screamed, I fought away all your fears
Protecting you as a guardian angel
Stood by you through all the storms in your life
And never left your side

I held your hand through all these years
Promised you that nothing could ever take you from me
I ran to you every time I felt you cry
And held you in my arms oh so tight

Your presence, it still lingers here
I turned in search of your face
But you were no longer there.
And I find myself, all alone.
