All For Me Poem by poetrygod nforlyfe

All For Me

You toyed with my emotions
Lead me on and lied
I trusted you, you let me down
So let the games begin

But let me tell you something boy:
You mad a big mistake
You thought you'd just get sex from me
You thought it was for fun
You thought I'd never catch you
But guess what?
Now your game is done.
You may have broke it off with me
But let me tell you this:
Your game may be done
But mine is far from over
So let me give you a little advice
If I were you, I'd run
Because with my game-

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE WINNER! ! !

Eyes open. Forward facing. Lights are on, but he's not listening. Headset. Dont fret. I love you he says. Glowing screens. Angry screams. Come to bed. Shh not yet. Back turned to us. Don't interrupt. Why are we not enough? Days off. Curtains drawn. Where has seven hours gone. Eyes wet, blank stares. Do you know that I'm still here? Guns out. Baby sleeping. Meanwhile my hearts still beating.

I have learned from a young age that I would attract a certain kind of attention. Prepped for the stares I would receive for being more well endowed in the areas that spark **** in men. From a youthful age sexualized, only sought after for one purpose. One glance and thoughts are shifted to fantasy. Never asked about feelings or emotions, just questioned about how I can satisfied needs. I am only looked at as a fun time never a long time. They all believe that because I look a certain way, that I must have all these men in my bed, and that I am only in their presence for pleasure. My sanity is often questioned, once they realize that I am not a seducer or temptress that falls in to the hands of multiple men. But they also have the mentality to wonder why someone like myself is distant, guarded and closed off.
(Looks gone to waste in their eyes, tainted in my own)

We use video games
To make video gains
Until the screen goes black
And reality attacks
We lose all our progress
In the deletion process
As we level up we devolve
Around the TV we revolve
The more experience we gain
The more moments we lose
Our memories forever stained
When this is what we choose
Our life inside a hard drive
Our life becomes a hard lie
We revel in being unwise
Rage quitting life
We enjoy strife
And avoid pesky light
When we live in the dark
With consumerist plights
We are all marks

Video games balance in a zone
Between game and art
The frustration starts
When art is confused for games
And games mistook for art
People take things to heart
And spitefully spew viper venom
If this is where games send them
Then why do we play?
We have no other way
To feel accomplishment
In a society that worships competition
Video games become the second edition
Of a life filled with loss
On our pixelated cross
We are murdered millions of times
Reminiscent of the millions of lies
That make us losers in the real world
Video games become our shiny pearl

The computer displays defeat
When our lives aren't complete
Because we need someone to beat
Not realizing our lives are conquered
By frivolous topics we've pondered
Our meaningless life squandered
And hope comes in the form of new releases
While inside our faulty headset is in pieces

I sit by the window
Staring out with hope
Gloomy face eyes low
Captive in this castle
A solitary dreamer
Waiting for the one
Riding with her sword
My dauntless damsel
To rescue me away
far-far away from
this deranged world

I wonder though
What amuses you more
Am I less of a man
Or do you doubt
A woman's valour
Capable of Creating
Life in her ****
Open your petty mind
Break thy stereotypes
Crush the misogyny
Prove to the feminine soul
Chivalry isn't dead anymore
