Everything was composed of minuscule atoms,
Qualities of things are derived from aggregates
Of atoms, but the aggregation and nature
Of these atoms are as per cosmic forces.[17]

There exists seven kayas or assemblage:
Prithvi-kaya (earth) , apo-kaya (water) ,
Tejo-kaya (fire) , Vayo kaya (air) ,
Sukha (joy) , dukkha (sorrow) and jiva (life) ;

These elements are neither created
Nor destroyed and neither multiplies
Nor reproduces with independent
Existence assigned to each element.

Atoms were defined as that which cannot
Be further subdivided, that which is
Neither created nor destroyed, that which
Retains its identity by never changing.

Atoms are visible only collectively.
Properties are their characteristic.
Suka, Dhukka and Jeeva are the functions
Of atom operating under cosmic rules.
