Airport And Italy Poem by Kwai Chee Low

Airport And Italy

The hustle and bustle at the airport
Some rushing, frantically searching for passport
Mothers’s tearful goodbyes,
Trying their best not to cry

Sudden announcements from overhead speakers
A crowd starts moving like follow the leader
Pilot with crew in tow
Safe and sound again, good show!

Whiffs of coffee from the corner Starbucks
Where the teens and beyond teens are happily stuck
Nose deep in notebook screens
Comfy in their Levi jeans

Hark it is time to go, my heart’s a flutter, my legs are numb

ITALY here I come!

To travel! And to see the ways of life in other countries. Nice work.
