Administering...Justice! Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Administering...Justice!

Has anyone who is found guilty,
Of committing a number of discovered...
Corrupted criminal activities.
And admitted the doing of it publicly.
To then profess of an innocence.
With this to become defended.
Even though the proof of their guilt,
Would need a warehouse built...
Just to store some of it not all!
Do you know of anyone like this,
Actually being acquitted of wrong doing?

"Hmmm...
That's a whole lot of evidence.
But no.
Personally,
I don't move about in those circles.
And...
Well,
It depends."

Depends?
Depends on what?

"Ethnic and religious affiliation.
Wealth.
And I mean the biggest of 'bucks'.
Plus...
Most importantly,
One's obtained social status."

What does any of that,
Have to do...
With administering justice.
And the rule of law?

"Say what?
LOLOLOLOL.
LOLOLOLOL...
Stop my stomach hurts.
You're killing me.
LOLOLOL...
You got any tissue? "

Get up off the floor.
I'm serious!

"I know!
LOLOLOL...
And it's painful too!
LOLOLOLOLOL...
Stop.
Jesus! Please...
Help me, Lord! "
