this sadness, i do away;

to fear i say 'adieu'.

leaving the past

isn't easiest

but its only for the best

that i do.

i hold fast to the promise

that you will come

when i'm distressed,

to listen to me

when my heart is wounded,

to understand me

when i am a mystery.

and i trust that you will

i really trust that you will.

until my head is clear

and my days are brighter.

till away go problems

and in comes power

to face my fears

and say goodbye.
