Ad'dressing' Poem by Ima Ryma

Ad'dressing'

Rating: 5.0

A call came in Halloween night.
Two firefighters were dispatched to
Check out a leaf pile burning bright,
Which city rules said not to do.
The firemen put the leaf fire out,
Then went to the house's front door,
Helmets in hand to talk about
Why not to burn leaves anymore.
A sweet old lady came and dropped
In each helmet a candy bar.
She looked at both and then did opt
To ask what she did think so far.

'Aren't you two boys, ' she asked quite sweet,
'A little old for trick or treat? '
