Actions Speak Louder Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Actions Speak Louder

Actions speak louder

I am child of time when
The heroes were rebels
If in arts, musicians,
Or the faiths' lecturers,
All the way to fighters.

What is there to be said
About the injustice:
"Convicting innocent! ? "

Among them Malcolm X
As well as the "El Che…"

Each of them favourite
To many followers…

Both were killed and killers
Held hands of governments!

The list of our heroes
Is too long and endless,
Its number is countless
Like drops of water
In the seas and oceans…

Woodstock is sample
That remains forever
In the book of records.

In the mud had gathered
Thousands of boys and girls,
Bravely they shattered barriers.

Lyrics made miracles
In heads of audience.

I recall Joan Baez
Singing her rebels' song:
Of "We Shall Overcome, "
To get there must rebel
Since action's sound is loud.
