Acknowledge

I don’t know what to do;
I feel so alone;
The ones who should be loving me
Have left me on my own.
I’m praying by myself
And crying for some friends
To understand and help me
To bring this to an end.
The darkness is too deep,
I’m struggling to survive.
Can anyone please acknowledge
That I am still alive?
This desert is so vast,
This loneliness too great;
Won’t someone come and rescue me
Before it is too late.
