Aboriginal Jews Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Aboriginal Jews

Rating: 5.0

Aboriginal Jews

Jewish books to me are
-great in stories; not belief

Love them for what they are
-yet believe, most are lies

And I do respect them
-for being what they are

Premise of poem takes me to the Jews in
-what is known to us as Spain and Spanish

I dive in history and the time of El Cid
-origin of his name Arabic, "The Mister"
-he served them and somehow to hero converted
-with decors and designs and massive additives
-till his time the Jews lived freely; (Free is relative)

Time changed as did the things
-the rulers, governments
-and arrived Isabel

Jews were killed and tortured
-ran away, scattered
-hid in holes, changed their names
-felt afraid and ashamed, embarrassed
-to be Jews or Jewish related

Till recent! ! !

Now every Tom and Dick
-include each Harry
-claims to have blood of Jewish

Same is seen
-for those called:
- "Red Skins! "

Let's accept:
- "Time has changed."
