A World Of Masks Poem by Timothy Ko.

A World Of Masks

To a whole new world I open my eyes
People with masks and heart like ice
Wondering what they hid beneath
Attempt a word, make curiosity cease
Outward a smile shown radiant, bright
No hatred found, no want to fight
A closer look around here and there
Stare from vision as if to dare
Defensive all, under all the shell
Couldn't tell what anyone felt
Every word, action, plus the deeds
Had their reasons, they planted seeds
Even together they seemed to hide
Only half revealed, half left aside
Never to trust, only to deceive
Giving back only amounts received
Still they keep an outter appearance
Pure in sight depending on occurrence
Abide the law when eyes around
Left alone no conscience found
Around I go, trying to get back home
But misled and left alone to roam
Constantly deceived, I turn to adapt
No choice of mine, I was trapped
Wandered a while, there I discover
Piles of masks, one I recover
Like them I hid my true intentions
Prolonged my stay, an unknown extention

This world is full of secrets. People tend to want to hide things, no matter what it may be. All the symbolisms are for you to find and interpret ^^.
