A Wonderful Age Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

A Wonderful Age

Rating: 4.7

We live in a wonderful age
a time where no one is fired
just victims of downsizing

A wonderful age
where wrong is right
and right is wrong

a wonderful age
where no one makes mistakes
it's all 'Computer Error'

What a joke!

A poem with irony and wit that bites. 'Wrong is right/ and right is wrong'. Chiasmus, to be technical. 'Downsizing' sounds better than 'fired'. Every worker must dread that.

this new age suits me pretty well, as i am sometimes [rarely] 'wrong' but still can claim to be 'right', i make mistakes but can claim it's some-one else's fault, AND i retired due to downsizing but STILL did not 'lose my retirement benefits'! ! ! ! Yay! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! bri (:
