A Wish Poem by Job Laz

A Wish

1

As the million stars
Feasting on heaven's path
I sleep to million closures
Of peace ever sure

2
Hand me in silk patch
That I may script my name
And stick it out boldly
On the endless trails of my forbears

3
Till peace resolute stand like spikes on an arid valley
The similitude of my exact passage
Calm I tune my fears to be
So my bliss erudite will soar across the blue skies

4
Pour me a drink
Gulp down the myrrh of my spreading glory
That I be seen and cringed before
As my grace ascends to shelter the earth
