A Winter Treat Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

A Winter Treat

It's so soothing to sit here,
On this cold winter morn,
The birds seek out food,
From the early crack of dawn,
There are treats left outside,
With love just for them,
I could sit here forever,
As they feast once again,
There is plenty to pick on,
With their tiny beaks,
They look so contented,
Their activity speaks,
My helping hand,
Will help out in every way,
With a nice little treat,
To bring warmth to their day.
