A Wild Flower Poem by shakil ahmed

A Wild Flower

Rating: 5.0

A Wild Flower

I picked a wild flower
Full with beauty and fragrance,
From an unknown garden
To adorn my silent heart
That was wrapped in
Flesh and bone of my body
So long,
My eyes were shining
Like the stars of unending sky
And rummaging the world
For a wild flower
To quench the thirst of my
Lonely heart
One day I noticed
My loving flower
Was withering fast
And I wiped
The lens of my eyes
Where tears lingered
I got grief-stricken
And reminded the whole world
That it is the doom of
Every human being.
