A Want & A Need
I want to get to know you
But do I need to?
I want us to be close
But is that wise?
Or am I just plotting my own demise?
When it was time to leave
I wanted us to stay
But what my heart needs is distance
Far, far away
Never before
Have I been drawn in so fast
But even though I want you to pull me in
Maybe what I need is to remember my past
