Bloom Poem by Tiger Lily Love

Bloom

Rating: 5.0

Like the flowers of spring
My love did bloom
After cold, hard, icy Winter's gloom.
My petals were closed
Fearful to let anyone in again
But your sunny warm presence
Made me think
Maybe my broken petals
You could mend.
The one before you
Ripped out my roots
And left me for dead
And I was certain
I'd never love another after him.
But you picked me
So delicately
And replanted my affection
You watered me with your smile
Clipped the weeds around my heart
And filled me with an entirely new sensation.
You brought me back to life
After someone tried to trample me
You put my heart back together
And not a moment to soon
You set our story in motion
Now all we have to do
Is watch it bloom
